Replacing old door hardware can make a big improvement in looks and function to an older home. Often restoration projects require relacing skirting and architraves along with new doors and hardware, this is a simple and cost effective option that pairs nicely with new flooring and some new paint. 

Most older style homes while having a higher ceiling do not pair well with smaller modern trimmings and should be replaced with a more stylised option to suit the character of the home. It just looks weird if you get it wrong and does not add value to the home. We don’t want to leave potential buyers looking for options to offer less due to wanting to remodel.
